When I was younger, I was always cutting out and sticking things in my scrapbooks – I made a scrapbook for everything I did.
Even for my GCSE English coursework I had made a scrapbook about my trip with a friend to find George Michael – I still have it now. What a geek! I’ve even stuck the train tickets we used in it from 1991.
I also kept a detailed diary every year and was constantly taking photos on throwaway cameras at school. Instagram would’ve been a dream come true for me if it had been around in 1989.
You can only imagine my delight last year when I heard of smash books. A sturdier version of the scrapbook smash books are like a diary scrapbook with photos and memorabilia. You can read more here http://www.smashbooks.co.uk. You can use them generally or for weddings, birthdays, baby books etc.
My friend Mel bought me mine as a gift for Christmas 2013; All year I had been saving things to stick in it but hadn’t actually got around to filling it in until tonight. It took me absolutely ages but it was so lovely to be reminded of everything that had happened in 2014.
They are the perfect gift too – if you like crafting or just keeping nice memories all in one place, smash books are for you.
The lovely people at http://www.smashbooks.co.uk are offering 10% off all products in their site for my blog readers – just type in code f&f10
I can’t wait to start my next one!
