As per last year – http://lvloves.wordpress.com/2012/12/31/my-loves-of-2012/ here are just a few of my 2013 highlights….
This year has been a roller coaster ride but I managed to get off the ride feeling like I had an amazing time! 2013 was a massively transistional year and I feel that only 2014 will show what the transition will come to be – as usual lessons were learnt, true friends were made, hearts were broken and frivolity reigned supreme.
I feel calm and blessed as I stroll in to 2014 and I wish all my loyal blog readers a magical 2014 filled with happy memories!
Birmingham seemed to be the location of the year – not sure how or why! I fell a bit in love with the city and out of love at the same time. It has a little place in my heart as do the memories of my fun trips there with my two girl friends – J and Mich.
My GBFF Griff and I took a little trip to New York for his 40th birthday – we had an amazing time. We did all the fun touristy things and shopped until we literally dropped. Ellens Stardust Diner where the singing waiters sang to Griff on his birthday was a highlight as was the NYC version of STK – but really the whole trip was a pure delight!
I moved into a gorgeous little beach side flat – cocooned myself in domestic bliss and girlie decor, just in time for a beautiful English summer!
The girls and I went off to Butlins, Bognor to see the legend and friend of ours – Pat Sharp. We had a brilliant time catching up with Pat and taking in the sights of the 80’s weekend!
Working with the JBPR team at Brighton Pride – a huge sucess and on a personal level very exciting as I got to meet the brilliant Paloma Faith – also one of the best gigs in 2013 at the Brighton Centre in Feb.
My first solo holiday and one of the most relaxing and uplifting; I visited my cousin and her lovely family in Dubai. I lazed around alone and drank in the city and the solitude – but of course managed to find time to party!
Happy 2014! <3
