written in the stars

This may sound like a bit of a hippy post, but it’s really not intended to be…

We all like to be in control of our own destiny, but if this year has taught me anything it’s that Destiny is not a force to be reckoned with and no matter how hard you try to coerce her in to doing what you want, she will do as she pleases.

I like to put my life into the hands of fate and most of the time it’s worked. There’s never been a job I’ve regretted not getting or a man I lost that wish I’d kept, so Destiny obviously knew what she was doing.

Lately she’s had me all over the place and been throwing me into all kinds of paths; every time I think I’ve got it right I get it ever so slightly wrong.  Deep down I know it’s all leading to something brilliant and it seems I will have to go along with her mayhem until she decides what the right path is.

Instead of stressing about where it’s all leading and what it’s all about.  I’m going to go with it and hope for the best; sometimes we have to accept that we can’t control every situation, we have to ride it out, enjoy it and put our trust in the fact that some things are already written in the stars and forcing certain events to happen is just a waste of precious time.

In the words of Calvin Harris ‘in a moment, i know that everything could change’.

Very true. Another motto to live by perhaps – no expectations no disappointments. When I remember to live by this, life is just fine. Another great post x
