Girl power!

I have had a very girlie day today – don’t you just love them?! Sometimes our girlfriends are like little breaths of fresh air and after a week of boy rubbish they are the perfect tonic!

My BFF Danielle lives quite far away from me now so we don’t get to meet as often as we used to but we text or talk daily and when we do meet we really make the most of it. Our conversations are not dissimilar to the ones we had when we were 14 except she is now a settled mother of two and her life couldn’t be more different from mine, but every time I see her or talk to her I feel my shoulders that little bit lighter. I am lucky to have many other girlfriends, old and new, but too many too list and so many different qualities to praise.

Today, Melissa (she of grey jumper fame) and I had a little day trip to the zoo – we have decided it would be dreamy and constructive to have a fun day out somewhere different once a month! It was the most refreshing day I have had in absolutely ages!! We did not talk about work or boys/men it was just pure and simple fun, back to basics!
I am holidaying in Crete with my friend Suzie in a week or so and I am hoping it will be just like today but a whole dreamful week of it….

I am so up for June being a totally man free zone and if I can stay away from the Greek waiters I think this will be the making of me!! ;)
